WH says Trump's act was like Churchill. Anderson Cooper isn't buying it

CNN's Anderson Cooper responds to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany saying that President Donald Trump's photo-op in front of St. John's Episcopal Church amid the George Floyd protests was akin to Winston Churchill touring the rubble of London during WWII.

As a Brit living in the USA, that's one of the most offensive things I've heard coming from the WH. Churchill was a giant of a political leader. He rallied the British people to fight against the Third Reich against unsurmountable odds. Churchill fought tirelessly to unite the rest of the world against the scourge of Hitler, and the other tin pot dictators who decided in on the action. You can be assured Churchill would have been scraping little Adolf Trump off the bottom of his shoe if he was alive today. America, for God's sake WAKE UP! This idiot is destroying this nation brick by brick. The foundations of your democracy are now at stake as this tyrant attempts to turn this nation into a dictatorship.

Listen girlie, I'm British and my dad was Royal Air Force in London and he and my mum lived through the bombing of London. As bad as the riots in the US are, they do not compare to 6 - that is SIX YEARS of German bombs, food rations, blackouts, fear every day of losing your home to a German bomb, listening for sirens to hide from death, the daily burning to the ground of London - so do NOT even use Winston Churchill's name in the same sentence as your precious cadet bone spurs who faked several deferments to avoid his duty - just like his grandfather who fled Germany to avoid his mandatory military service.
