These Videos are really great. Wished you had uploaded them earlier. It would have had helped me so much for my Bachelor.

Best regards from a Crystallography master student from Germany 😊

Very informative indeed! 🙂 I wish all geoscience students had teachers like you.

Very inspiring and well explained! I always found difficult to teach these diagrams to students...
I use to do that using slides with the different steps.
This year I used for the first time the interactive screen (we have in every classroom, but no-one use it) on which you can draw - inspired by your presentation. I feel it was more efficient to explain that way!
Cheers from a post-doc from Lausanne, Switzerland!

Sir, thanks for the lecture from Russia. Would you be so kind to make a lecture about really complex ternary diagrams? With phase fields right in the middle of the diagram and complex triangulation. And, at some point, it would be very kind of you to even add some subtitles. Thank you.

My question What is the maximum mass of primary crystals that will form as the batch progress along the cooling path? I though its when t5 is reached at 1300 and the solid mass is 42%. This is the maximum for primary phase right?

Thanks for the helpful explanation. I am studying glaze chemistry for ceramics, and this give me a better understanding of this type of graph. Question if you see it, what determines the starting point in your cooling example for basalt? @5:27
