Climate Services – Navigating the SEC’s Regulations

Показать описание
Eunomian and Climate Expert, Harry Over, unpacks the new #SEC requirements & gives companies tips on getting ahead of the game!
Companies and municipalities considering how to contribute to the climate fight face ever evolving landscape, as governments around the world race to develop policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The need to move quickly at levels of the economy is clear: nearly 50 years on from ExxonMobil’s first internal investigations into the impacts of their fossil fuels, global emissions continue to rise and the world is on the brink of breaking the 1.5C threshold.
As explained by Harry, one such policy being mooted by the US financial regulator would require all companies to report their emissions and exposure to climate-related risk. On the other side of the Atlantic, the EU has just provided further detail of its Carbon Border Adjustment policy, which will see a levy placed on imported goods if they are higher carbon than similar products made in Europe.
Eunomia helps organizations across the globe navigate the changing policy world and determine how best to reduce their emissions. We specialize in designing net zero plans and advising our clients on how to implement them. We are a global leader in the intersections of climate, waste, and the natural economy – we cannot solve the climate crisis without tackling the waste, plastic and biodiversity crises at the same time.
