I'm not exaggerating, when I say, "this is the best history drama miniseries I have ever seen" it pulls all the punches, it is stirring and never feels long or boring. I am a history buff, and this series is everything you can ask for, to bring history back alive. Acting is superb, and the women are as powerful, as they are beautiful.

Iam from philippines and watched Bolivar kn netflix..i cried so much because the story of spanish oppression is the same with my ancestors here in philippines under spains rule for 300 years. i cannot imagine the pain my ancestors went this made me so emotional😭😭😭😭

Hola Americano Hermanos!
I'm from India, and have always been fascinated by Latin America, due to my belief that it is culturally similar to my country, and also with respect to politics, and trends. Despite the flaws in Bolivar Series ( Telenovela Format, skipping crucial parts like coup in 1810 and formation of Supreme Junta, Battle of Carabobo, which wasn't depicted, the most important battle of Bolivar's career ), I love the fact that he has not been portrayed as some Demi God who flies. Being from India, we have a habit of glorifying our kings to such an extent that they have no shades of grey, their opponents are completely dark and they are completely pure, which isn't true with any king. Bolivar's flaws are highlighted blatantly, if a similar series is made in India with respect to a Hindu King, there will probably be mass riots on the streets. I have finished about 40 episodes, and enjoyed the series despite its flaws, like a story rather than history.

Just finished watching this (my wife decides to start some random show on Netflix from time to time) and I would say for it's purpose it's not bad. My only complain which hilariously is like everyone else's here - the whole Telenovela vibe. Couple of scenes made me almost tear up though, towards the end. Very tragic ending for the liberator. Sigh.
