APPRECIATION POST. I never ever comment on anything but I could no longer help myself and today is as good as any to finally deliver you this long overdue message.
In the paint department, YOU, my friend, have helped me more than any designer/decorator I’ve ever hired. You have a knack for explaining things so clear and concisely, yet simply, so I never feel like an idiot. With interior designers, I tend to feel like a bit of an idiot and often feel like we spend our time together with me being “schooled”. Unbeknownst to you, in the last few years, you have seen me and my husband through the repainting and cleaning up of our home of 22 years to get ready to sell. The building of our new forever home and all those mind-bending selections and currently, you’re walking me through settling in here and decorating to my liking and for hopefully the long haul. I can’t believe you’re not some viral sensation, YET!

I have a Craftsman style house. The body of the house is painted SW Tempe Star with SW Natural Choice for the trim. The metal roof over the front porch is painted SW Iron Ore. I absolutely love it!

Beautiful colors. Suggestion...How about exterior colors for houses on the rural areas and ranch style. They're I think much more challenging as they're basically a rectangle and no heights to break structural monotony. I need help in finding a color palette for my house. Thank you.🥰

I’d love to see your ideas of trim colors with these. And I’d welcome exterior colors for mid century homes. I think there should be a warning for people who live in hot climates, like Phoenix, AZ. These extremely dark colors —especially black roofs and block walls—hold in the heat.

What are your thoughts about off white siding on an old Chicago brick house? Was leaning Creamy until I saw your videos, but now I’m lost lol.

Old Chicago Brick house, installing “weathered wood” roof (certainteed) and dark wood stained posts. I want to avoid it looking yellow (bought the house with ivoire that looks stark yellow).

Could you tell me which SW paint I should use as my original paint is a Duracraft and it's no longer available according to my SW store location? And they don't know which paint to mix my color with to ensure a match...Its duracraft exterior acrylic satin...

Watch those ivories. 'Ivory' means yellow. I have SW Restoration Ivory on the trim of my house. I hate it! It's almost fluorescent. Since I made that mistake several years ago, I ALWAYS test my paint, interior and exterior.

You'd have to be crazy to paint your house black in Texas. Absorb & hold the heat, your AC wouldn't be able to keep up!

“Virtual Taupe” should have been named “Dirty and Muddy” (!) and never used with a white garage door!!! 😖
