GP mid is best counter :D GP has free qss, can get even more gold from malz void lings and has easy way to take his passive. For other champs, get early qss.

As a high diamond malz main myself I find champs that can abuse his short range and stay out of his ult range are the hardest to deal with. Orianna, velkoz and xerath are the 3 that I tend to have the hardest time dealing with. Ive never really ran into problems with Syndra or Cass. As long as you play safe early they are much easier to deal with in the mid game since they need to walk into malz ult range to deal damage. Very solid video though otherwise!

I think something that would be nice for these videos are specific tips for the champions that get countered by the champion in the video. For example, tips for assassin players who get counterpicked by Malzahar in this video.

i would also argue that velkoz should be a counter, typically you can poke down his shield while farming with ur W and you can hit him from outside his spell range, also if you telegraph when he is going to use his R you can use ur E to counter it and break the channel which also puts him in range of your ult

I love melee enemy laners because they typically dive me under tower and that's where I ult them.
Also ult the enemy if your jg is going to gank, will secure the kill most of the time.

Malzahar's worst matchups are long ranged mages (ziggs, anivia), this funny item called qss which is more of a tax, and this funny champion called yone and gangplank.

I dont know why you didnt include gp as a good counter he has his q to kill the bugs and poke malza. He can also poke him with barrels and has free qss with his w for malzahars ult. Perfect counter if you ask me

guys i really recommend Viktor against Malzahar, he has the same mana problems early game as Malzahar, but can 1 shot voidlings with his own e while hitting the minionwave or poking Malzahar from a distance, also when fighting Malzahar, Viktor can place his w.
With the delay on Viktor w, when placed correctly, the Malzahar will either ult and get stunned, or needs to flash out, either way denying him to ult and shut you down.

I think Xerath is also an amazing pick against Mal due to the Xerath's insane wave clear and range. I just used Xerath to shut down a Mal an hour ago in a diamond game. Try it for yourself!
