Predator 3500w Inverter generator running Miller 211 mig welder.

My harbor freight 3500 watt inverter generator running a mig welder. Probably not recommended by manufacturer but it will get you out of a jam.

Use a propane torch and heat up your parts To least 200° degrees, and your welding will be a lot more penetration and smoother 😃😃😃

No.. Don’t Do it. I Just fried my Beloved Miller 211 on a 3000watt inverter. Had to send it in for a new main board, or what ever burnt out from low currant.

Does that generator generate enough spark to blow itself up by welding right next to its gas tank?

its safe to say it can even run the older Non inverter machines... HOWEVER both a 211 and a 215 miller had a hard time running off my identical generator due to the small lope in idel. So when the welder hits and its not On the pipe producing power it will kill the welder's operation. If your generator runs good it should produce. I welded the living shit out of a goose neck trailer ramp with that little genny and my 211 at the time.

Have you tried it with welder on full power? I’m brand new to welding and only have a predator 3500 generator for power. Just got my welder in today - haven’t tried it yet

I have a honda eu2000... ran my titanium 125 on medium heat.. was only able to tack weld a bit.. then it trips...been debating on buying a 2nd honda and trying again...
