TRUE CARL STORY POSSIBLY: at 2:22, carl was born but someone might took him and a humans brain was replaced possibly, causing the human to turn into a NPC named Carl. After scripting and noticing the npc can’t pick up the gun, groovy changed it where he can’t grab the gun and that’s how I think Carl was born! (Feel free to comment your opinion :]

I think Carl was made in a lab to serve Groovy (Which is probably the main reason Carl calls Groovy "Master Groovy") and Groovy programmed him to be sentient and try to pick up the gun.
