In this video I discuss how to configure Single App Mode, or also referred to as, Kiosk Mode, on an iPad using Apple Business Manager and MDM. This process can be achieved on both iOS and Android devices.

Additionally, both Zoom and Webex both support AppConfig to allow an MDM to remotely configure the application level, including SSO, for more streamlined enrollment process

I have an interview this week for my first mobile analyst position, and your videos are honestly just the best because it goes through real world application without taking forever. You present the material that's needed only to achieve the goal...no fillers. Thank you and keep up the great work. I would recommend just trying to talk a little slower, but understandable that you're called '5 minute mobility'.

You can do many of these things also using Shortcut automation already baked into the iPad. Launching apps, started guided access automatically etc.

I am STUCK. I asked Verizon to enroll me in the Verizon MDM and I can see all my devices but is shows that none of them are enrolled. How do I enroll the devices so I can use them in conjunction with ABM or with the Verizon MDM platform?

Hi Michael, have you run into any issues accepting incoming video calls whilst in single app mode? I have recently deployed Cisco Jabber for telehealth and can make outgoing video calls without an issue, however cannot answer incoming video calls. I've read that this is not just a Cisco Jabber issue and it affects other video conferencing apps that use the Apple CallKit framework; and it would require a fix from Apple. I assume you have not experienced this with Zoom? Also, I've found that you cannot allow access to the camera post the single app mode profile being applied.

Hello, I am attempting to use this mode for our enterprise for a web based kiosk. Unfortunately, Single App mode won't work with webclip so I am using AirWatch Web, and have set up a web clip for users to select from within AirWatch Web. My question is, for Guided Access, there is an admin passcode you can use to exit. However, for Single App mode, I couldn't find a way to set up an admin password...

I read somewhere there is an "Autonomous Single App mode" option, will this allow users to exit the app if per se, the WiFi password changes?

Hi, I have heard that a free software known as Apple Configurator can be used with Workspace One if you have a device that is not registered with Apple DEP/Apple Device Manager?
