hey mate! greetings from Berlin germany. i am about to do the job in like 2 hrs. have all parts in my trunk. Volvo 850 T5R, 27 yrs old, my mothers car. restaurating it since may 2020. motor got a complete revision. changed allmost everything so far. today its going to be the Bilstein B4 absorbers and Eibach 30mm Springs. thx for your video mate :)

The reason one side is a 17mm and the other an 18mm is so that people who own only 1 set of tools can do the job too. If it were to be 2 18mm's or 17mm's, you would have to buy a second socket or key or whatever. This is the case with a lot of parts actually, even the lower control arm on your classic, if i remember correctly. At least from factory, aftermarket might be different.
