My sister hade breast cancer and I remember her crying on the phone after one of her chemo treatments and said she didn’t want to do it anymore, and I told her she should make the decision once she feels better. Imagine if they would’ve offered her at that moment the decision to just die she might have just taken it. She has been cancer free for 15 years now and is living her best life. It’s like they’re telling people things don’t get better.

The scariest part is that they are offering this to veterans that are suffering with ptsd instead of actually helping them, disgrace of a government

telling a patient it is "selfish" not to commit suicide, is disgusting.... they are supposed to be nursing back to health not killing them off....

The fact that they plan on offering this to kids who are depressed, is fucking wild to me.

I'm a lawyer in Europe, when learning about pros and cons of euthanazia we bring up Canada as an example of the worst case scenario

That nurse trying to convince the lady her life was worthless should be charged with attempted murder.

"How can you die with dignity if you never lived with it first?"

Bro.... That's HEAVY.

I had severe mental illness and I pay £75 a week for an excellent therapist, one year on my life is totally turned around. There are not many people who are as ill as I was, so £4000 to save relatively few people’s lives does not seem that expensive to me.

Them offering it as an option is one thing. Them shaming those who don’t take it and pressuring for them to take it makes it wild. It should be the opposite.

“How can you die with dignity if you did’t live with it first?” This is heartbreaking

As someone who’s been offered maid, I can tell you it’s pretty ironic that it takes them less time to do the paperwork to kill somebody than it does to get all the paperwork done to get that same person medical treatment….

Almost like they figure if they just kill people, they’ll save money on disability and medical cost

As a Canadian who moved to America nearly 3 years ago, its crazy to watch this back. In Canada, its stuffed down your throat as "normal" and you are dezensitized to it. Now watching this is wild. Its as if I've taken off the blinders that are forced onto all Canadians. You dont know what you're exposed to until you leave it.

“How can you die with dignity if you didn’t live with it” insane quote that struck me. Thank you for this powerful video I hope we are able to better care for those in vulnerable positions.

The nurse accusing you of being selfish for choosing life should be reported and investigated. That's legitimately eugenics.

I had a car accident when I was 19 years old and broke my neck which caused me to be paralyzed from the chest down. For the first year I couldn’t really move much of anything and was dependent on someone for almost everything. With some time, working my butt off with physical therapist and prayers I was able to get my independence back. I couldn’t walk but I didn’t have to get help from anyone and that alone was blessing. At one point, if I had been offered this choice I seriously would have thought about it and that’s scary. Everyone’s circumstances are different but sometimes they can in fact get better. Even when the medical diagnosis says it’s impossible!

Too many people are given terminal diagnosis and end up making full recoveries for this to ever be a good idea

I came to Canada from Turkey. In Turkey they will do anything in hospitals so that your grandparents don’t die and everyone in the family will take care of the elderly. In Canada I see so many lonely and sad old people. Breaks my heart

I'm Swiss, but recently moved to Canada and it shocks me how disrespectful the government is towards the elderly, the handicapped, but also mentally ill people. Assisted suicide has been legal in Switzerland since the 1940's, and still "only" takes up 1.5% of all deaths and is through non-profit organizations, not the government. Because of this it hasn't bothered me until I now see with my own eyes how Canada handles it. MAID has been around since 2016 and ALREADY takes up over 4% of deaths (not having received 2023 numbers is worrysome). Thank you for shining a light on this whole thing.

All these people are so eloquent and compassionate, more so than most people I encounter on a daily basis. It's inspiring they use their kindness and skills to continue helping others despite suffering so much themselves.
