I was lazy and unemployed, with car insurance being due and knowing I had to get a job to get it paid - but being too depressed to do anything besides lay around and listen to the rock radio station.

They played this song and it was like a shock to the brain. I saw so many parallels between the lyrics and my life (I see what I am / Is holding me down, I'll turn it around)

I went out, got a job, cleaned myself up, and am feeling the best I've felt in a long time. And I owe it ALL to this song. Thank you, Tom Scholz and Boston.

When I was dealing with addiction and getting help, I would listen to this song every morning. It would give me the strength to move forward through another day hoping that there would be better days ahead. But for that day, the sun would be shining and today is the day, just don’t look back.
15 sober years later this song has as much meaning now as it did then. I still get emotional listening to this great song.

Today marks 2 years since my dad's passing. This was the last song I remember him blasting in the car radio. Instead of taking me home like usual, he took time to drive by the highway down the river so we could see the view in the other side

It's a great memory and that early morning sunrise and the wind in my face is what I usually think about when I hear this
