WATCH: Harrowing footage shows Houthi rebels overrun ship

Harrowing footage has been released by Yemen's Houthi rebels which shows them hijacking a ship in the Red Sea which they believe has links to Israel.

Israeli authorities say a British-owned, Japanese-operated cargo ship was taken by the rebels.

The captured footage shows a helicopter tailing the vessel before moving in to land on its deck.

The scenes then show rebels – armed with guns – ordering for the ship to be surrendered.

In Yemen, a Houthi spokesperson claimed responsibility before issuing a chilling warning against Israel.
