when your son just takes a bite out of the dirty carrot and then rubs some of the dirt off and takes another bite! that is what life is about. Thank you for doing what you do. <3

I incorporated Dowdings methods 2 or 3 years ago and I will never do anything else! This method has worked beautifully!

Charles Dowding has been a huge help to me. I had such gardening-anxiety. He is so soothing and reassuring. My mantra has been “WWCD” — What Would Charles Do? LOL! Really. He makes it all so simple and doable. I have to adapt to my northern Vermont climate — but basically, I just do what Charles says to do.

I finally got my order of the CD60 trays too! I love that they are smaller too. Much more practical for the home gardener who wants to grow smaller quantities of lots of different vegetables. Plus, the durability is clearly an advantage of these.

Love the new greenhouse! Big game changer. I think for me it's having a warm place to escape to in winter and to walk in with orange 🍊 and lemons 🍋 blooming is true mental therapy to get you through!

Hello Shaye - thank you for the update. I have been following your 'no dig' garden and I am impressed with its progress. Weeding is thankless, my biggest challenge has always been, you lose so much top soil pulling weeds. I have tried silage - now I am moving to card board, silage, top soil. Thank you. Also thank you for being an inspiration. There has been so many tips in cooking, gardening, homemaking I have used. More importantly your attitude has re affirmed my own beliefs in home making - fellowship, comfort above impressing and beauty in the simple. Simple is not a negative - the best compliment I get is people I invite into our home acknowledge personality and feeling at ease over anything else. I have some high end items but in whole, it is about the space being used. You work that so well. Thank you - blessing to you and your family. Always look forward to be welcomed to what you share. Cheers!

I use a bead organizer to store my seeds. Comes in a black hardshell suitcase from Amazon. Keeps them dark and the containers are airtight. Its made quite a huge difference in germanation when storing. 😁

I got supplies from Bootstrap Farmer and Johnny's this year to start seeds - Bootstrap Farmer is leaps and bounds the better more durable seed starting trays and supplies!

With everything happening in the economy, a garden is a true blessing. I am so excited for my garden this year and plan to expand it by 300 sq. feet.

I've heard that stones in the garden give minerals back to the soil. So lining your garden rows with stones/rocks will benefit as well as look good.

Last year was my first attempt at gardening. When I first learned of "no-dig", I thought, there is no way this works. I thought it was just a hack/shortcut and figured farmers have been tilling for a long time so that must work, right? Big mistake. We've transitioned to no-dig and are so much happier with the results. We just had friends over to help us prepare some new no-dig beds and they seemed rather confused why we were using trash (cardboard) in the garden. It's funny how much cultural norms can influence us.

Thanks for showing the dried out cardboard! I also live in a hot dry climate and always wondered why Charles never had any dried curling cardboard like mine in his videos 😅

I did a small no dig tomato bed last year, after watching one of your videos, and it worked out wonderfully. Minimal weeding!!
