I LOVED THE EARLY COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY AESTHETIC OF THIS MOVIE! captures the early 00s perfectly, born and raised in a small town ive always wanted to live in the city with friends and all have computers back in those days. now its 2023 and i live in the same small town with fiber internet., but i crave this aesthetic desperately. kairo the foreign horror movie captures it too with computers.

Say what you want about the digimon movie. But back when I saw this scene as a little dude I was sitting at the edge of my sit praying. I repeatedly said Wargreymon, Metalgarurumon you can do it.

This scene to me shows no matter how much you body is hurting, no matter how many times the bad guys beats you down you stand up and get back into the fight.
Some kids had superman or batman as there childhood heroes. For me those superheroes was Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon.

I love how all of the characters (that types their emails to WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon) seen in 0:38-0:50 would later appear in Adventure 02 (especially during the World Tour arc). Nice foreshadowing that the children seen here would become Digi-Destined in 02. Most notably Yolei at 0:38, who is a main character in 02.

the best part is the cameos of both yolei and Ryu.

Yolei who later becomes a digidestend in zero 2 (part 3 of the movie) and Ryu who also appears in the same series and after a battle against millieniumon and kinda won' got hurtled through time and space into digimon tamers that came after.

This means this scene teases 2 later series to come!

Love this scene. Builds the tension nicely and feels like there’s hope but it’s against all the odds.
