About FNF

Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player must pass multiple "weeks", each usually containing three songs.[note 1] Each week, the player typically faces a different opponent.

During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes which the player must mirror by pressing the arrow keys or WASD. At the bottom of the screen is a bar indicating how well the player is doing. The left side of the bar is red, representing the opponent. The right side is green, representing the player. Successfully hitting notes will increase the size of the player's bar, while missing notes causes the opponent's bar to expand. The player fails if the opponent's bar fills up the entire bar.

For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Medium, and Hard. As difficulty increases, the speed of incoming arrows increases and the patterns of arrows become more complicated. The player's high score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and shown in the top corner of the week selection screen.

ill clarify some stuff here :P

his name is actually pronounced oh-zay-uh :P and he DID eat part of his tongue! that is very much canon

the lyrics of the song are pretty much oxaya saying "whats the point of us being apart when we can be so much more together"

and someone else commented asking about this, but oxaya doesnt actually look how he does in the mod in real life. his appearance is metaphorical, representing the monster jeff has convinced both him and jimmy that oxaya is

and quick note, , both endings are canon, but the story will continue from the bad ending :-)

hi!! i work on the mod (more-so for V2) and thank you for the video!! you got a lot more right than most people do lol

@bricowave explained a lot of what i was going to, but i wanted to elaborate on the endings!

while both endings are technically "canon" they're very different in terms of implications

the good ending implies that jimmy lives and the family lives in harmony, and this is where the official max design pro timeline takes place since he's made oxaya canon

the bad ending is the timeline in which the mod takes place, and where jimmy dies

oh, and the mania mode art is art that was originally intended for the intro of anotherbrother, jimmy is holding the baby photo and is about to open the door to start the song

NOTE: the lyrics have a LOT of official meanings, but the primary one being "why would we fight when we can live in harmony?" along with the fact that you can't split a sea, meaning it's futile to fight when they can be so much more together

When you look closely you can see in the good ending jimmy is a bit confident but then in the bad ending he is actually kinda scared.

Fun fact: when at the end where oxaya holds jimmy it is a reference to a painting of ivan the terrible and his son who was murdered by ivan so just wanted to point that out there

I have a theory that says that both of the endings Jimmy gets killed because at the end of oxaya's lyrical segment no matter if you get the good ending or the bad ending his face looks worried and due to how vague the good ending is only showing a picture of Alaska possibly representing Jimmy remembering good memories in his final moments and the reason why in the good ending the door closes is because Jimmy's imagining what could have happened
