Wake up people. Places you consider a "safe area" is where carjackers and criminals go to rob because you more than likely have more than their neighborhood. Just because you live in Lincoln Park doesn't mean you're excluded from crime in Chicago. I think convicted carjackers should get a minimum 10 year sentence. It would slow down a lot of this.

The social contract between residents/taxpayers and the city government is broken, beyond repair. As citizens we give up certain rights and pay taxes to live within a city/state/country, BUT in return for those loses of freedoms, we get in RETURN, protection and services that would be otherwise too costly and inefficient. We have yielded many rights, and paid far too much in taxes in this exchange with our city and state leaders, and have gotten little in return. City leaders cannot control the unlawful blacks that terrorize the city day after day, who carjack, commit armed robbery with ease and little fear of retribution, who rob and injure while on the CTA, who smash n grab all along the MagMile, and who kill with ease and little justice to follow. The city will not protect you, the social contract is null and void. They are failing to live up to their end of the contract, which is to provide safety, security, and services to live a peaceful and prosperous life, and hold accountable those who break the peace, otherwise there would be daily vigilante justice. Today there is just lawlessness in the black community, and innocent residents need to wake the F up and get their foid card, conceal carry, and have your firearm with your everyday and everywhere, as the city refuses to protect you, your livelihood, or your property. Take your safety seriously, as though your life depends on it.
