Within the past 25 years, the military series has spawned many new models, with the newest being the Military 2. Boasting a compression lock, enhanced front finger choil, and a versatile 4-way pocket clip, the Military 2 aligns closely with the beloved EDC choice, the Paramilitary 2. Its flat-ground S30V blade ensures exceptional cutting performance, while the textured G10 handle guarantees a secure grip. The original Military was crafted with military professionals in mind, and the Military 2 preserves these foundational principles while integrating long-awaited enhancements.

Sir, you made a great video. You hit on all the positive aspects of the knife, your comparison with the older version was extremely helpful, and you did not blather along unnecessarily. So I went and ordered one of these. Thanks.

Bought the basic version last year. It has become my favorite folding knife in my collection, upstaging the Shaman.

I got the DLC coated S30V blade with camo G10 handle. Absolutely love this knife.

I carry the Military 2 or Native Chief, both tip down with deep carry Lynch clips, and I love them both. I was just out on a walk down a trail with the dog and the Military 2 was perfect to carry, and so easy to deploy at a moment's notice.

Can't wait for one in Magnacut. I used to own the Ti Military and CF/S90V Military as well and absolutely miss them. The Military 2 is the perfect folder for those of us that like large knives for EDC, just gotta hold off until it's out in the steel I want 😅

You forgot that the Mil2 is actually selling for less than the original as well.

Another problem with tip down carry is, if you're working in dirty, dusty situations, tip down carry exposes the pivot area (sitting above the pocket) to all the dust and crud. I carried one while weed eating a 5 acre lot and the pivot was so cruddy I could barely open the blade. Same thing while using my chain saw, I had to disassemble my knife to fully clean it. Tip down keeps all that dust away from the pivot area.

Personally, I'm waiting for the fully serrated Mil2 before I buy (as an outdoors/woods knife), preferably it'll be available in Crucarta configuration soon.

i got very excited when these came out, because i am not a big fan of liner locks and i was stoked to see these now feature compression lock. so i promptly bought 2x of the new military 2s, but upon initial unboxing i got buyer's remorse big time. not because they are not well made awesome knives, but i find military 2 to be way too big, and i struggle to think of any scenario where i would ever carry it in my pocket. i can't see myself to ever take it and use in public for any purpose at all, it's simply way too big and way too intimidating for ordinary sheep around you.

You almost completely glossed over the one major change to the M2 - the compression lock - but other than that, good video.

Is the Military 2's grip as boxy as the Para Military 2?

Anyone seen Military 4" scales out there? Plenty for the PM2/3, but can't seem to find anything for the 4" Military!

15 years in the Army and the only knife I ever used was a Buck 112 and a Leatherman.

Personally, I do not like tip up, at all.

Shopping for a knife and I'm surprised a knife like this can unfold inside a pocket. I thought they were tight enough that you wouldn't be able to accidentally pull it open somehow with your pocket? I'm looking for something to carry daily in my pocket.
