This is why I love mma. If this were boxing, or even kickboxing, this fight would be a blowout with a low probability for a KO/TKO . In mma, it's truly never over until it's over. One of the greatest strikers in mma history got beat by one of the greatest submission specialists in mma history. When the fight was on the feet, Cro Cop dominated, but when the fight went to the ground, big Nog dominated. Strengths, weaknesses, and styles are the name of the game, and it's performances like these that make these sports worth watching. People were literally brought to tears in the audience because it looked so hopeless for Nogueira. As soon as he finally got Cro Cop a little bit off balance, and got the takedown after numerous failed attempts, the momentum of the fight completely flipped. Cro Cop learned the hard way that you cannot keep your arms extended against a great BJJ blackbelt when you are escaping and getting back to your feet. It only took less than a second for Nog to secure that clean submission.
