Quick tip to all distractors:do Not go around the whole map, I'd say to choose to simply go circle around one spot so that ur teammates don't take the twisteds. Because a lot of goob distractors in my servers do this lol

Another tip is trinkets. I've seen people use pink bow for distracting, which is a bad idea.
Pink bow only boosts your RUNNING speed, which is not useful when you'll be walking in circles most of the time.

The best trinket combo for distractors is dog plush and running shoes. Running shoes give 5% run and walk speed, while dog plush gives 10% walk speed. This combination will give you a 15% boost in walk speed and 5% in run speed.

Running shoes can easily be bought in the shop. For dog plush, you will need 100% research on Toodles.

Pebbles *might* be an except to this due to their 5 star run speed, where all it needs is dog plush, but I recommond being safe and using running shoes anyways. It makes a huge difference!
For any other distractor, the dog plush and running shoes trinket combo is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. Stamina will often not carry you through distracting, which will lead to early death. WALK!!

Some great advice in this video! One more thing I see a lot of distractots lack in is their patience. Once the elevator is open, they will immediately sprint towards it which is not something I'd advise doing if you don't want to seem selfish to your teammates and/or get them killed. Stall the elevator untill about 15 seconds left on the timer to let your teammates get in safely, or untill they give you a cue. If you're a distractor, you will have enough speed to get to the elevator within 15 seconds on most maps (with the exception of that one gardenview one that's a bunch of tight narrow hallways), so while the elevator is still open, you as a distractor should stall the twisteds as long as you can so that your teammates can get into the elevator safely. This is especially important with slow toons on the team like Vee or Rodger. And if you absolutely HAVE to book it to the elevator as soon as it's open, PLEASE at least have the courtesy to help out fellow toons if you see them in danger right in front of the elevator by pulling aggro from them for a few seconds or helping out with your ability

Tisha is also pretty good if you’re on a budget or saving for either goob or pebble, I’ve distracted with her a couple of times and ti actually isn’t pretty bad! Her skill is already great for when you need a quick getaway to the elevator after the last machine is done.

How do you distract Mains as Tisha?
*(This part is about Astro because it was not in the video. Since he has the Sleep effect, it can be harder for people who main Tisha to distract because of her horrid Stamina. 1. Balance your Stamina, It is really hard to distract if you don't use Stamina correctly. I suggest only using Stamina when he starts to catch up to you, or really any Main/Twisted at all.)* 2. Know your surroundings. It is INSANELY important to know where you are on a map, or just what map it is in general. For example, there are a couple of decent maps to distract on, like the map with that big area in the middle (1:12). You have a lot of islands, and there is a lot of space to run on. A bad map to distract on is The Greenhouse (sprout update). It is really small, and there is one island that is good for distracting mains like Pebbles and Vee, and it is where most machines spawn, which is a HUGE no-no for Distractors. So you need to know your maps, or else you will die easily as a distractor. 3. Blackout's, most Distractors nightmare because you cannot see on the map. What you should do is take your time, don't sprint through the map like a mad-man because then when you find twisteds, you will be out of stamina, leaving you to die to Shrimpo. It is useful to have a Vee on your team for blackouts, but if you don't, look around for Twisted's instead of just darting around and running headfirst into them. That will hurt you, and your team. 4. ALWAYS make sure you have a backup as a Tisha, if you get bitten as a Tisha distractor, you might want to swap with a flutter, who has better stamina, while you take a break and support. 5. Don't try to distract EVERY twisted. If your Tisha, you are not going to be the best distractor instantly, so I suggest balancing it out with another distractor (Flutter, RnD on odd floors, Goob, Pebbles, Sprout, and even Finn sometimes) because it will help you and your team reach further if your Distractors are balancing it out between rounds and floors.5. Avoid Pebbles. Just don't bother trying, because if you die to peeballs, then your entire team dies to peeballs. It is way too risky for Tisha mains because her stamina is not it-

That is all I have for now on Tisha, she is not the best distractor, but she is certainly worth it in the beginning if you want to get better distractors like Flutter, Goob and Pebbles.

If I feel like someone is low on stam and I’m not using anyone with 4-star speed, sometime I use a made-up technique called “support-distract, ” where I’d purposely stand in front of all the twisteds and as the other person turns the corner, they get aggro on me. This is amazing I wish I watched it sooner! I’m also just gonna say some quick stuff people probably know but it’s just to make sure incase! Also with the new update and Pebble’s rework I’d argue now Pebble is on the same level as Goob, mainly because even though they can now decrease their stealth to -40 and alert non-aggroed twisteds to their location there also is the fact that it is for a limited time with a 60 second cooldown every time.

Anyways just necessary stuff for a distractor in general that weren’t really covered, im sorta explaining them out so this section is long, sry i like typing long comments out.
Know how to juke twisteds. A lot of times you can end up in corners and have a really difficult time getting out, there was a clip of you escaping between like shrimpo and the starters by going between them due to the gap left over by their speed difference. The hitboxes are usually small (aside from a few like Dandy, Pebble, and now for some reason Glisten’s kinda feels weird) and you can generally just run past them.
Stay in line of sight, when you’re out of los if another person is nearby the twisteds (in their own los range) theyll target them instead no matter what, so you usually want to do arcs instead of hard turns
If you need to hide as a distractor generally you have a high amount of speed, use it to your advantage to get the twisteds away from other people or machines unless completely necessary (I encountered a Goob that kept hiding which makes the twisteds target other people after being spotted, i don’t know if they were a troll but they sucked :P)
Try your best to make plans on the fly, if you don’t know the map very well or its a blackout and you’re even more blind than a bat then try your best to move in a way best to fix the situation
Don’t hug the twisteds, this seems incredibly weird but hear me out. I see so many distractors get confused by stealth priority, especially when there’s like brightney or they need to grab a twisted back from like idk astro, they run right up and get hit. First off, don’t be stupid don’t do that, secondly if you’re dealing with a lower stealth character try your best to be as far away as you can while still staying in los, and keep eyes on the aggroed player to know when theyre about to hide because after theyre out of los you can grab them.
Try to go for twisteds at the side, for example don’t run right behind them you can get pincered and if completely necessary make sure you can juke them or something as you can see in the video they were forced to run right behind pebble while being chased and it was basically a lost cause after the 4 mains were on them.
Use the rugs on the ground to sort of map out distraction areas. There was the kitchen area with the black rug that was generally a decent spot in that map, and that black rug sorta shows like an area where you can distract. Personally I like doing a square-like area because the corners are generally where you sprint and you can walk the sides so following the rugs on some maps helps me keep track of where I’m heading

Other notes too
Don’t walk into distractors, like if a twisted is onto you then try to like walk side-by-side if possible or just lose them, also since there isn’t an actual run animation it can be hard to tell sometimes if you’re running or walking
Generally stay clear of their area, like even if you can just walk through you can’t be 100% sure that it’ll actually be completely safe, and stay clear completely unless necessary if they’re distracting a ranged character like goob or scraps because they have to get out of los to dodge their attacks
Stay in the freaking elevator in panic mode, sometimes you want research okay but oh my god don’t walk out for no reason and keep the timer going it just makes everybody panic, one time it killed this brightney trying to “be risky” and the elevator closed on them right before they went back in 😭

my personal favourite toons to use for distraction are tisha, flutter, and pebble, heres why :D (btw my highest floor is only 20 so..)

tisha: she's good as a back up distractor and her ability helps toons in sticky situations. i honestly think she covers all the roles (distractor, extractor, supporter.) she's also js a cutie patootie :3

flutter: she has the same movement speed and stamina stats as goob, and her ability has saved me from death MANY times. she is also good for baby sitting glisten since she can dash away when he loses it. also a cutie pie !

pebble: his bark ability helps me pull twisteds back to me, and his other ability helps me search for heals, tapes (for sprout, ) and research caps. he has 5 star movement speed (i think) and he's overall js a REALLY good distractor. also he's a puppy :3

i love being distractor especially with goob but here are some things ive noticed
1. poppys and boxtens like to run into the twisteds and get them off me then they go attack other ppl
2. people dont say gte so i get hit when they get faster
3. people snatch the heals when the distractors need them and they have full health
4. before i can get the twisteds on me people somehow manage to get hit?? how do y'all do it, we literally just started
5. and last one, during blackouts i have a hard time getting the twisteds on me because of course i can't see them (does anyone have any tips for this one?)

I'm a distractor, I think I'm decent, I've gotten to floor 17 as Goob. I've seen pebbles not be able to distract Toodles mean while I have to distract Vee and Shelly in a blackout :/
