One of best things about the 1200p native resolution is that it means it has the same native aspect ratio as the Steam Deck (16:10). This means if you want to run more demanding AAA games at the deck’s native target 800p or use FSR to get optimal performance it looks MUCH better than trying to do the same on other displays that run at 1080p (16:9).

The 120hz also means you can use v sync @ 30fps and it will be buttery smooth compared to 30fps at 60hz.

Is it true that when u dock the steamdeck, the rokkid max glasses dont allow a picture to be seen because it doesnt pick up the video out (usb c) from the dock to the glasses? Ive read a lot of reviews saying u cant dock it, therefore with the steam deck that would be basically useless because u need to be able to charge your deck ( currently i dock it jsaux dock and am using the GOOVIS G3 MAX which is just a mind blowing headset for movies and steamdeck) but i reckon the rokkid max look a little bit more portable for trips.

in my experience my rokid max suddenly cut off video display when my steamdeck battery hits certain level like sometimes 50% or sometimes 40ish and im wondering maybe steamdeck has this battery saving features when battery is low or something so im wondering what can you recommend for me to be able to play on my glasses while charging the steamdeck..

Hi, when you talk about IPD, it’s it that things are out of focus for me. It’s that I get double vision, and it’s only ok through the app. I have a IPD of 60. Rokid have not Replied to any of my mails about this . Any ideas ?

Just wait for Pro version of these glasses, they are coming within 3 months time, they gonna have 6DOF tracking + hand tracking + AR chip + Google AR OS + wider FOV and 1600P panels + active dynamic shading lenses + they can keep screen stationary in

I mean it will ge even dumb to buy Vision Pro when these are out and more importantly they don't need cameras + depth sensors + screens to show surroundings.... They are transparent!!!

Yes but the Rokid Hub does NOT work with Steam Deck and that is an ABSOULTE deal-breaker. You cannot charge your deck and use the glasses at the same time, so forget relying on power banks for example. Rokid claims to have fixed this for 'Chinese customers' but what good is that? Until they sort that out this thing is basically garbage.
