Invited Speaker, Dr Garrett Brogan, Texas A&M University

In this webinar, I will explore social capital’s impact on connecting women entrepreneurs to artisan cooperatives in East Africa. I will share the impact these cooperatives had on their lives, such as diet, socio-economic status, and social well-being. I will share from both the leaders’ and the women’s perspectives. My presentation will highlight the deep connections within these communities and how women have banded together to help uplift themselves, their families, and their communities.
