Game On: Xbox 360 vs PS3

With the launch of the PS3 slim and the Xbox 360 price drop, Game On is going to the console wars to find out which comes out on top.

I personally love the 360 better due to the controller layout, its so much easier to reach buttons and handle gameplay and the little keyboard mechanism for IM and Messenger fits snuggely right at the bottom of your controller, unlike the PS3 where the joysticks are in the middle and the controller figuration is completely opposite, I sometimes wonder how you are able to type with that chat pad for PS3 when you got to reach all the way top not knowing if your chat pad would detach.

A wired connection to the internet only speeds up the transfer rate on your end, it has no effect on the transfer rate at the server's end. A wireless connection to the internet would be bad if you needed to transfer files quickly. If you're just playing games wireless is still about 10 times faster than what you could conceivably ever need to play a game.

BTW you can use a wired headset on a PS3. Blue tooth is just nice because it gets rid of clutter and it works very very well for wireless

I Think i Agree that it does come down to Personal Choice However some of the features on the X-box 360 that are going to arrive soon might tip the scale in its favour.

You didn't really understand my argument anyway. I wasn't complaining about guns in games, there's nothing wrong with that. I was complaining about most First and Third Person Shooters. They're all exactly the same. Very few have any personality. It's basically, 5 minutes of story, 3 hours of killing the same crap over and over again in levels that look surprisingly like 50 other levels in previous games. Repeat that twice more and that's the game. Same game with different graphics.

Actually to get either console with 120Gb = $300.
If you want a 256MB (arcade.. really small hdd) then that's $200.
If you want 250Gb for PS3, it's $350, and a 250gb 360 is $400.

Exactly! Most "360 exclusives" are MS exclusives and really shine on the PC because of better multiplayer (server browsers)

I dont know what console to get PS3 or 360, PS3 has blu-ray, more exclusives (i think) and free online. But 360 has halo, GoW, L4D2, and the slim has built in wi-fi and kinect but you have to pay to play online. So far im looking at PS3 cause apparently it breaks down less, free online and better graphics. But do more people play 360 online or PS3. And is it worth is cause of halo and stuff.

So if i decide to buy a PS3 should i get the old one or the slim???

I feel the same. Ex. My cousin has a Ps3. I was there when he got it and it took us a matter of minutes to set it up and play online (with the games he had with it - it was Christmas).

On the other hand, my other cousin got a 360. He has many games for it and it's lots of fun, but he won't get LIVE anytime soon.

When mentioning l4d2, the showed a picture of the beta version of l4d1 -_-. Besides, it isn't an xBox exclusive, it's on pc too!

I know you guys have it, but since the 360 also has it plus Left 4 Dead (I'm a Valve fan). I read in GI that the 360 had exclusive Fallout DLC, I figured Microsoft would hold that exclusiveness. Another reason I like 360, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, and B-K: Muts & Bolts. Despite what you'd think, they are very fun games.

The only reason there are more sales on the xbox is that it came out a few months earlier which gave it a huge advantage because everyone wanted a next gen consol right away than to wait a few more months for the ps3 to come out also the first 360s broke down when they got too hot and u have to pay for every single thing you do on x box. For the people who were smart enough to wait for the much better ps3 to come out with built in blu-ray = sharper grphics and free online ..i salute you :).
