When I played Life is Strange first time round I was really hoping Rachel would be alive. Nearly broke my TV screen when Max and Chloe found her body in the junkyard

Rachel's death date is April 22nd, 2013. This is confirmed at the last scene of BTS when Chloe is trying to call Rachel while she's in the dark room. Her phone says that date.
So she died exactly 3 months before her 19th birthday (July 22nd). Then LIS begins on October 7th, 2013.

just recently finished Before the storm, and i am very astonished, played after a long 5 years and now im a bit older i truely understand the story, the story is as best as in can get, am very sad about what happens, Very sad for chloe, she found the one that she needed the most in her life, the relation between these two are very sweet, but great story overall, Rachel Amber, you'll be missed and i hope to see more of your story in a future Lis title, where you'll be in a alternate reality in Long Beach, California with Chloe living the dream, R.I.P Rachel Amber, this game changed me 😥
