GNU Octave is a high-level interpreted language, primarily intended for numerical computations. It provides capabilities for the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear problems, and for performing other numerical experiments. It also provides extensive graphics capabilities for data visualization and manipulation. Octave is normally used through its interactive command line interface, but it can also be used to write non-interactive programs. The Octave language is quite similar to Matlab so that most programs are easily portable.

Hi, thanks for the video!! Can someone explain me if its possible (and what should i get into account to do so) to run MatLab/Octave into a Raspberry Pi (3A, Zero, alternatives, etc) used as a PC /laptop (i plan to attach a screen and keyboard via USB) and do it smoothly? I've just discovered Raspberry Pi world, so I don't really know much about it and any info is welcome. I would like to have a small, lightweight, portable PC and I don't mind using Linux (I have experience using Lubuntu on my desktop PC, but it's ok to me to try other distros unless it's Arch lol), althought, i need to run LibreOffice/MsOffice, Chrome/Opera/FireFox and would be nice to have Octave/MatLab as well. Do you think it is possible and price wise intead of a commercial laptop? Sorry if it so basic to you, but, once again, I'm a truly beginner, lol. Thanks for reading!!

Thanks.  I just did RiceX: ELEC301x Discrete Time Signals and Systems - so your video is very helpful to me.
