A tour through my very first Janome machine - 28 years old now - which started my love affair with Janome!
The machine has been improved, new features added, and is now known as the HD1000. HD stands for heavy duty, and is still going strong!
Learn about the different types of machines; mechanical vs electronic; and the different hook/bobbin systems; oscillating/ vertical vs rotary/horizontal or lay-in bobbin.
Take a tour of the presser feet included with the machine as well as some of the fun and fabulous optional presser foot available for 5mm low shank machines. Basic does not mean boring!

Michael, always enjoy your very well done videos, however, were you aware that your picture/video is so so tiny. We can’t see the details that you are showing us. Is there any way of changing that mode or that size by any chance? I watch videos on utube to make masks, aprons, etc all the time and they’re twice the size. It would really help. Thank you!

Hi there. I recently purchased my first Janome product…the MC9450QCP, and am interested in learning as much about the machine as I live in an area where there are no sales and education for hundreds of, miles. My question for you is, WHY, Why do you have these videos on instagram filmed on a teeny weeny screen? We cannot see anything you refer to as it is too far from the camera, or in some cases, you are blocking the view. .. I am not knocking the videos…keep making them of course, but, PLEASE, fill them with a wide angle view, and allow the camera to show what you are referring to. Thank you. P?S? I love my purchase so far! 😊
