That's an Amazing idea!!!! I've used tacky and green stuff to do this, but yours will last longer. It'll also work for different ball joints too.

Easier fix: glue a little foamy ring inside the socket until is it tiny; it will not only provide articulation, but also won't let the head get stuck, you can use the head in other figures, it's way cheaper because you only need scissors, foamy and a little glue, and you can perfectly adjust which height you want the head to sit

All this time I’ve just been using epoxy clay and sculpting a big enough hole with trial and error. This will make customs A LOT better!!!

I usually put like thin bit of plastic wrap over the head an fill the hole with hot glue like VADtoys just cos the socket may be bigger or smaller than the tubing

My figures usually have the opposite issue. They’re a little small, but not impossible to fit. My biggest fear is that it’ll break the knock joint, or worse break the head
