All I got from this video is JP needs to keep going to the Cotton Bowl every year because my Sooners are undefeated when he is in the stands.

Josh you were spot on when you did your pulse of the program bit about Oklahoma. The fans firmly believe they have the right guy and there's nothing you can do to tell us differently and yesterday the entire country got to see why we were so confident. He just does things the right way....and he chooses violence. And so far this year, sheer physicality has been a major factor in why they're 6-0. They have a bye week to help up and then they go on a very easy tear through the second half of the conference schedule.

I’ve been trying to tell people in SEC country for two years now that the Red River Shootout is the best game of the year only to be told I’m crazy. Get ready folks

I told my brother, this is not just a game, this is an event.
So many wild unpredictable and incredible things happen in this one game so often that it could basically be its own season wrapped up in 60 minutes.
And this one was certainly another one for the ages.

OU has been an offensive juggarnaut for a while if Venables gets the defense to that level they will be scary no matter what conference they are in.

I'm from France, I was an exchange student at UT for a year. I've always dreamt of going to the Texas/OU game. It is the #1 thing on my bucket list

I went down the Cotton Bowl ramp in 1977 with the OU band. The director told me then, "you've seen some major college football games. You've NEVER seen anything like OU-Texas ! 36, 000 screaming idiots in burnt orange on one side - and 36, 000 screaming idiots in crimson & cream on the other !!! There are other premiere games, but there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like OU-Texas !". He was right ! RIP,

We don’t play like an arena league team anymore. God Bless Venables

I'm an OU fan, long time OU fan. I can NEVER guess the outcome of this game before hand. In 2000, I thought UT would beat us. I've been sure OU would dominate and UT has won. This year I thought UT had an edge but I wasn't sure. OU is 100% bought in and that sort of focus is unusual. BV has got everyone bought in and pulling the same direction, very impressive. Oh, and OU WHIPPED UT physically up front on both sides of the ball. Even i didn't see that coming.

Oklahoma vs Texas to me is the most unpredictable game in sports. The team record really doesn't matter in this game, and there always seems to be a dramatic ending.

As an OU fan who’s heard 49-0, how the Texas coaching staff was just 2 years ahead of us, and that we stood no chance in this game this win really shut the haters up and I’m so glad. The media now backtracking and giving us some respect cause we showed up, showed out and proved we were the better team and the top dogs in the Big 12. Go ahead and favor Texas again in December cause that rat poison Nick Saban always talks about is really working out for us.

I have been thinking since the game, how big was Arnold in this game? You think about without Arnold on the side line, Gabriel doesn't have that big of a game running. The game plan would have been more protecting Gabriel, than letting him have the freedom to run.

I can’t believe how much the Oklahoma defense has improved. I’m a believer in Venerables.

Josh this was the 30th anniversary of our first Red River Shootout and was our first football game together when we were dating back then. Despite life happening and not being at all the games over the years we have been at many and the intensity never disappoints even when sometimes the game outcome might. 🤘🤘
Love the show and your insights 100% on your assessment of the game and was an incredible environment to be at yesterday.

Charlie Strong won this game once too. Jokes aside congrats OU, y’all kicked our asses. Hope we meet up in Arlington for a rematch. Love this game, always so unpredictable.

He’s right. OU-Texas is the best rivalry in college football. Second to none.

I think we can say both programs are ready to compete in the SEC. Just need a little more depth. Getting away from the B12 officials will be so nice for OU and Texas fans. We wont agree on much but I can bet both fanbases will agree with me on this one. Something crazy like OU and UT opponents have been dinged a total of something like 3 holding calls in the last 2 seasons combined with B12 refs officiating the game. Thats horrible and both deserved better.
