Lutheran here. I am deeply worried about the woke people attacking against the Catholics and overall all Christian world. I pray for all the Christians to unite and fights.

i may regret leaving a comment here if it results in dog piling but as a roman catholic i was happy with this film i saw no "attack" on the faith i loved that the message was one of humility, compassion, and faithfulness is that not what we strive for? being intersex (as benitez is depicted in the movie) is not "woke" its simply how some people are born, some are born with both "parts" and i would never shame or belittle someone for something they could not control, being intersex is not some agena being pushed it is a legitimate medical condition that happens in utero im not sure what else to say to convey that being kind to one another is not a vice or something that will ultimately corrupt you, its something our faith encourages

this movie is an attack if you're views on religion are skewed and i say that with as much kindness as possible as i dont want to anger anyone i encourage you to lead with your heart and not think that everyone is attacking you ❤ may you grow in your faith

For anyone who wants a religious movie that has no political agenda, is enjoyable for non-religious people and is legitimately a masterpiece, I highly recommend the Prince of Egypt. It's an adaptation of the story of the Exodus. It may not be 100% biblically accurate, but it's amazing how much it respects the Exodus.

I‘m a Catholic born and raised. Visited the Vatican. This movie is not an insult to Catholicism at all. I find the outrage around it ridiculous and embarrassing.

Try the movie "The Shoes of the Fisherman" (1963) where Anthony Quinn plays a Russian Roman Catholic Archbishop who becomes pope in the midst of a possible full scale war between Russia and China.

I’m Catholic and I actually liked this movie. It’s not perfect but I liked that the Cardinals weren’t perfect, showing how human they are. If you read about real conclaves (which I have) you’ll find that the election is pretty chaotic with people picking sides and corruption sprinkled in here and there. The ending was a bit weird though

I was about to watch this film, and then I heard the ending spoiled. I'm not even devout Catholic and I'm insulted. No wonder the TV spots and trailers were so hyped up. They were so desperate to get people to watch this film, for this sociopolitically-driven ending.

If you think Conclave is about 'wokeness, ' you missed the point entirely. It's not pushing politics, it's challenging the false comfort of certainty. The real threat isn’t progress; it’s the idea that complexity must be crushed into black and white. That’s why Bellini yells 'Pick a side!' — and why the film dares to say: maybe faith lives in the middle.
