Elena Knows is one of my favorite reads this year and I just started on Little Luck. I hope more people will read her books.

Elena Knows was five stars for me too - wonderful in every way! And I have A Little Luck on the shelf to look forward to. You are so right about the whole mystery/thriller thing - I think Pineiro has been mis-sold. These are not genre books at all. I also read Thursday Night Widows and again the mystery elements are background whereas the novel is really about the social pressures of living in a gated community.

I read A Little Luck and found it a terrible disappointment. My list of problems with this book is endless…..a story that tells me everything in detail instead of letting me learn about the character through her actions. The “wonderful” wrapped up with a bow ending. The more I write about what I dislike about this book, the angrier I get.
