Skittle Marines are actually a cool concept. A space marine chapter who wears various pieces of salvaged armor taken from the dead bodies of other fallen chapters. They just take whatever they can find and add it to their personal collection. Basically the Orks of the Imperium.

The funny part is, this is somewhat canon as some Space Marine chapters that don't get replenished in terms of armaments especially those in the Imperium Nihilus. They have to rely on scavenging for armor from fallen brothers or discarded equipment by other chapters just to keep working.

Such comes with the territory of serving the Emperor.
