Next time around, they should consider shipping the developer kit product before the consumer products hit the stores. That way it's also less likely to disappoint because it would be a real dev kit.

For me, the biggest disappointment about the Co-Pilot PC launch is not Dev Kit even though it was poorly managed, but the fact there is only one commercial PC that has the Snapdragon X Elite 84 sku with the highest performance GPU, i.e. Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge 16-inch 1TB but that only comes with 16GB RAM maximum. Why didn't Microsoft fit an X Elite 84 sku to the Surface Laptop 7 15-inch with 32GB RAM? That would have been a developer's PC. The Snapdragon X series of processors weakest aspect is the GPU, and all X Elite SOCs should have come with the 4.6 TFLOPs GPU minimum and not the inferior 3.8 TFLOPs GPU that most have. The latter GPU should have been reserved for the X Plus SOCs. I was hoping Qualcomm were going launch higher performance X series SOCs, like X Elite+, X Elite++ as per Apple with their M Pro, M Max etc, and not a large array of binned weaker SOCs. Conveniently ignoring any engineering issues, it feels like marketing.

Sums up the whole launch to be honest. If you ignore the paid reviews and speak to people that have used them, they weren't ready for public consumption. So we can only hope that next year the next generation resolves the issues and makes it more competitive. With slowing sales and disappointing customers, it is hard to imagine software developers prioritizing Windows on arm.

Please test if you can put more voltage or clock speed to it. I saw some unconfirmed rumors that it doesn't scale that much. It may mean the next version if it still the same architecture will not be much faster.

I'd love to see some best-case scenario testing with all aarch64 applications. Other channels have a big focus on the caveats of running x86 code on ARM but considering that no-one can buy this anyway it would be good to see the best that these Snapdragon chips can offer.
