The question is did Jesus ask His disciples or us as believers to celebrate His birthday. I read the bible that Herod the tetrarch celebrated his birthday (Matthew 14:6), but there is no one single verse that tells us that Jesus celebrated His birthday during His time in this earth. What Jesus asked us to do to remember Him, to remember His sacrifice is to celebrate the Holy Communion(Luke 22:19). Thanks and God bless you and your ministry!

Should every day not be a day of Thanksgiving As well as everyday a day of Jesus birth or his resurrection?.

I am Italian and growing up we never had a Christmas tree in our home, my Dad never even said Merry Christmas to anyone, he always said Happy Holidays. He always told us that Christmas for us is everyday and that the celebration of Christmas and the Christmas tree is what the world does. I can relate to your Son in Law Ev.Tiff, but now I'm older and married and I understand what the truth is, I love Christmas, I love the time together with the family and is just a beautiful atmosphere, thank you for this fantastic teaching.

Thank you brother Tiff, My mother taught us that christmas made not be the exact date, however she made a point to the meaning of a time to remember HIS BIRTH and good will toward all people. She was not about stanta and all that but family. A good time for hats, scarfs and gloves and a good meal. Through the years I've pretty much followed that. I one day got a pamplet from garner ted Armstrong and it changed my entire life and The Word got so hard I just fell away. Realizing Our Father Jesus Christ would not put that kind of burden on me I regained my senses, thank God! Thank you for mentioning holloween because my grandsons birthday is on that day and i struggled with that untill i just told him that its not holloween to me its october31 your birthday Michael. Yep Christmas is a wounderful time of year but if we dont have anything at all its fine too. God bless

This is the question I always asked myself, is it ok to practice yoga as long as I mediate the Lord? The answer for me is no, as I am in their territory, I am knowingly participate their deeds.

I enjoyed your sermon on about is it ok for Christians to celebrate Christmas. Of course I agree with you as I agree on everything you teach. Our family always celebrated the birth of Jesus. When we were just growing up we only got one gift and we had plenty to eat and plenty of fruit. When we grew

Celebrating Christmas is great …spending time with family, going to church together, decorating a tree, but although I enjoyed receiving presents on Christmas, I have often wondered how did gifting everyone get into the mix.

YES! It's our celebration of God's love for us by sending Jesus. Doesn't matter if Jesus was born a different day. Love Jesus.

I was taught that the evergreen trees represent the everlasting life of Christ. The star represents the star that led the wisemen, the lights represent Jesus is the light of the world. Etc….

Thank you so much for this sermon. I truly needed clarity. It gives us a time to focus on the birth of Christ and to be together as a family . 💜✝️💜

Respectfully, the argument saying just because something meant something historically doesn't mean it means the same thing now is a slippery slope. Couldn't someone say the same (and trust me they do) about the bible?? God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. If someone's eyes are opened to the truth, why try so hard to justify a lie? Ultimately God uses all things for good and many people have learned the truth of Jesus through Christmas time- Glory to God. It shouldn't be an argument or point of judgment im sorry if that has happened to anyone 😔 It is however one of those things, once you see it, it's hard to unsee. It is a personal choice indeed, not something to condemn others 💔

On my second date with the boy that was going to become my husband, he mentioned nonchalantly that his family did not celebrate Christmas. I remember being very upset, because although I had not been bought up in a Christian household, Jesus had shown himself to me at age 7, and I was conflicted with the thought that someone that I had fallen in love with at first sight might not love God. Because I did not understand all these things, I thought he must be an atheist! Luckily on the third date I was brave enough to bring it up again, and in a very simple way, have fellowship with each other about it. This is a timely sermon, because for the first time ever, our family holiday falls over Christmas, and we are going to be in a house of Christians who do and don't celebrate Christmas, and I had been pondering how to navigate this with sensitivity. Our children do get one gift on Christmas Day. It started off being just a 'well done for a good year gift' that was not given on Christmas, but as they started school at their Christian school, they became more interested in the festivity of the celebration, so we started giving the gift on that day. We still don't have a tree. Our boys (7y, 5y) know the reasons why there are questions around whether to celebrate Christmas or not. We do enjoy this one time of the year when they can receive a little gift at the same time, and so just focus on having a nice family day, in which we continue to put Jesus first, as we do on every other day.

But it's my understanding since this holiday or festival has pagan roots or customs you can also say. Scripture tells us to stay away from anything that has pagan customs

My sweet mama was a holy mama, her upraising was in the Mormon faith, in which she left that faith, she was born again and spent her life in the Baptist faith until she was 82yrs old ... my earthly father lived too be 90yrs old
