This vehicle is surprisingly good. While the post-pen damage is understandably low, it will pen nearly every enemy with ease, AND has a stabilizer - all at 6.3BR... for now.

6.3 gets a lot of downtiers because a lot of iconic vehicles are at 5.3: tiger h1, panther D, Jumbo sherman, t34-85, is1 etc... The stabilizer at 6.3 is absolutely a gamechanger.

If you think about it, British tanks -- and especially the Centurions -- are the perfect "training tanks" for War Thunder players: they are heavily armoured enough to give you breathing space so you can focus on clinical shot placement & learning enemy tanks' weak points. Their slower speed also makes you think more strategically, rather than rushing to the point in a straight line, like a German main, and getting sniped immediately. I'd actually recommend new players to start with Great Britain; that way, you'll be a sniping & strategy Ace by the time you start to grind other tech trees. Added to that, they have the benefit of excellent gun depression, early stabilisation, fast reload times, quick turret traverse, neutral steering, and of course exceptional armour. I started out grinding the Soviet tree and Good Lord they do not have any of that essential stuff - Soviet tanks are almost unusably bad (as in real life, I suppose).

APDS does have superior range compared to regular AP and higher velocity, meaning it will fly straight and true.

Giving you a BattlePass vehicle so you can make good press and positive videos is triage. Also I would put money that they have written a code that says anyone using (THIS SPECIFIC TANK) will be max in the room, as they said they had lines of code such as that already. Meaning you will be biggest fish for a while, until they nerf it and remove line of code.

APDS is getting buffed with the new patch, much less shell shattering mostly

Currently I would recommend using AP mostly as its spalling is way better and its pen is still good

This is the first battle pass vehicle ive actually bought the pass and grinded for. I love the mk1 and the mk2 seems really good. Im at like level30 in the battle pass rn

I play a lot of 6.3 and it is varies a lot. During the week you are more likely to get a down tier... on weekends and evenings you are very likely to see constant uptiers (at least in the US servers)

It’s special to me I’m not high at all on the British tech tree maybe barely getting the Cromwells but I can use this to grind out the tech tree becuz it’s fun I enjoy it and that stabilizer is OP And good armor

Gaijin is just going to put the BR 6.3 up a full BR and I would bet this without a doubt. So Gaijin will just screw us all just like the Russian Pt76-57 they bumped up a few BR points a couple times. So All of us people that buy the BP pay for these vehicles and then Gaijin just does what they want to the vehicle after "WE ALL ALREADY PAID FOR THEIR BATTLE PASS" Then they just make the premium vehicle totally up-tiered so we all just spent money for something GOOD after all these promoters show it to us then the thing just gets trashed right after us small players get it. "Watch and SEE"

I definitely recommend switching to the AP shells any time you catch a downtier in this vehicle. They have more than enough armor pen at 5.3 but would have much better post pen damage. Honestly I wouldn't use the sabot for anything other than a full uptier but thats just me personally
