The worst part about betrayal is that is never comes from an enemy

Well, this guy was assassinated in Spain a few days ago, so the families of the two betrayed crewmen can finally be at peace.

Traitors are traitors it doesn't matter which side they are from. He selfishly caused the death of his colleagues.

It doesn't matter who you betray. A traitor is a Traitor

Technically the pilot guy was sold out and murdered his men. A traitor is a traitor, no matter which side he picks.

“Ivan?”
“Yea?”
“This doesn’t look like Belarus.”

Most likely what the 2 crew members talked before their demise.

Actually those who died should have realized that dying for Putin was a very likely outcome and being captured would have been much easier than dying for a greedy dictator who doesn’t care if they lived or died

They didn't land on an airbase, they landed in a remote location in Karkhiv region. The two crewmen where already planned to be liquidated since they might end the pilot if they tried to reason with them.

His defection caused the death of his 2 crew members. That is not good and he is no hero. Would not want him getting asylum in my country

Unlike everyone else, I'm not thinking this in terms of Ukraine v Russia. But simply as a citizen of a country. Who was born and raised in his country. Trained with fellow mates and then betrayed his country and mates for money.
I'm not Ukrainian or Russian, and I have highest level of respect for my country's soldiers. But if I ever heard one of our soldiers killed two of his mates I'll definitely brand him as a traitor.
It's completely understandable if one of our soldiers didn't like our country's government or policy and wanted to change citizenship to another country. Even to some enemy country. It's understandable. A loss but still understandable.
But if someone stabbed their fellow mates while doing so is simply a traitor.

Gotta respect those 2 soldiers. Got that loyalty fighting spirit but in the wrong side at the wrong time.

Love the objective reporting. "Patriotic" & "traitorous". We know who your audience is.
