Not only this, but they also use elixir. A high performance functional programming language who compiles to the BEAM virtual machine bytecode used by the erlang language. (Kinda like how kotlin compiles to the jvm bytecode) BEAM is known to be extremely high performant and have an incredible level of fault tolerence. It's the best language in that case
