I would not place keys and/or wallet/purse at the hall way/entry way, you are making it easy for anyone that wants to rob you - all on a serving plate. I do agree to have a designated area for those times, perhaps not close to the door though.

I dream of an entryway that big. Mine is three feet square - just enough room to get the front door open, and then you’re into the living room.

These are important ideas, thank you . I really like the bench with the doors to hide shoes, get weary of seeing shoes in an otherwise pretty front entry .

Working on my entry way as my next project and I’m going to include all of these, thanks for the tips!! Add in some sort of nice scented thing like a candle or fragrance sticks for a nice welcome home smell 😍

Love the idea of the bench, shoe storage, mirror & hooks near the front door. Keys near doors stress me out from a safety perspective.

1. Place to sit, bench or stool - agreed, I miss that in my entryway!
2. Surface to put downs keys wallet etc - Have that, very needed a space where you can just empty your coat pockets
3. shoe storage - I am German, we change shoes when we enter our homes, to minimize having to clean the floors
4. Hooks - in my case two clamps where I can use coat hangers on for the jackets, I also have a coat hanger with holes in it for scarves and I use the hanger part to hang a huge bag on, in which I have smaller bags. I also have a shelf above those clamps where to leave a hat.

All great ideas! The first cozy bench to put shoes on was a great fit!👟

We had a split level growing up
We just sat on the half stairs in the foyer, or the half stairs in the family rm (garage entrance door was there) to put on or take off boots n shoes

These all make a lot of sense, especially the bench when it's winter and you _have to_ sit down to put on and take off heavy snow boots.

I have a question: Shouldn't shoes be stored with proper ventilation or in a cabinet with air holes? In our country, we were always taught that shoes (especially leather) will break easily if it is stored on a very closed storage especially for longer periods of time. Same with bags too.

No hate and all, and I love your videos. Just genuinely curious. Thank you.

A mirror for quick outfit checks, I'm in my 30s and often am driving away from my house when I think I probably should have looked in a mirror at some point this morning.

All well and food for houses with designated entry points. I have 2 doors. I typically come in through the garage, which enters into the kitchen, and guests typically use the front door, which is in the living room.
