This is such a true statement! I always just thought my hair was frizzy and untameable. No one ever told me how to style or care for my curly hair as a kid, so I always ended up straightening it or having it up. It's so freeing to be able to embrace my curls in all their beauty! yess i learned how to take care of my hair at 17 as a kid i didn’t know what to do with my hair and my mom had straight hair so i threw my hair in a ponytail or bun every single day to school and hating my hair so much i now love it more than anything it’s beautiful

Us curly haired girls gotta learn on our own. And we damaged our hair for the straihht look, thr "wavy" look" and being compared to others why our hair looked nappy or frizzy.
