Yuping, thank you for the great explanation of this topic. I'm sorry this happened to you. I have a question. I purchased my product under FOB Ningbo terms. My supplier delivered the goods to my freight forwarder's warehouse by Yiwu. I paid DDP price to my freight forwarder, but I still paid for the insurance. It was only 1%, but still...was I fooled? Since you say that under DDP price one doesn't have to purchase the insurance. Was it an unnecessary purchase?

Yuping, I was just wondering if there was a calculation I could use to figure out an estimate of how many products I should import to sell locally. Let's say for example I would want to import Office chairs. And my city population is 300 000. Would it be wise to order a 20GP container that holds 200 chairs. Would this be too many to be able to sell locally or not enough? Just wondering if you have any input :)

Does anyone know how to find out that their product is damaged before shipped to customer? I’m doing FBA and sometimes the damage doesn’t become obvious until the product was delivered to the customer, for example, I’m selling a fragile product and until the product is actually delivered to the customer, it may not become obvious that the shipment is damaged. How would I claim for my insurance if I realized the shipment was damaged through the feedback from customers? Can the feedback from customers be considered as evidence?

Hi thanks for this knowledge! I asked to buy insurance and was charged. My freight forwarder tells me when I ask for the contract that the insurance company didnt agree to insure my package and I dont have insurance. I am disappointed and worried given its coming via air. I paid via alibaba trade assurance. Is this normal during this time that this can happen from the insurance company?
