2nd Episode of #BBR @ the #IWA2023 Outdoor Classics show in Nuremberg, Germany. This time I have a meeting upstairs in the Swarovski lounge and speak with Kathrin Puelacher, the PR Manager about the Swarovski NL Pure Binoculars. Afterward, I also take some time to test the 8x32 and 10x42 configurations of the NL Pure and offer my initial thoughts on them.

📒Equipment I Use:📒

📒100% Honest, Real Reviews, Advice & Opinions📒
I would like to make it completely clear that like all the reviews and advice that I give on the #BestBinoculars Reviews video channel and website, this is my honest and completely genuine opinion and I am in no way compensated to describe a binocular in a particular way or with a bias.

In other words, if I think a binocular or a feature on it is great, I will say so. If I think it is rubbish or it is weak in certain areas, I will also point them out.

Before writing and publishing any binocular review, I thoroughly research, test, and use the instrument in my office as well as out in the field. I also conduct comprehensive comparisons between the binocular under review with a number of benchmark binoculars in both good and bad light conditions.

Whilst I make every effort not to, I do make the occasional error or am sometimes supplied with the wrong details. If you spot any mistakes, please feel free to contact me either in the comments section, via social media, or on my site, so that I can rectify them.

As always, I love getting feedback and your opinions. it is these that help me improve and continue to supply you with content, advice, and reviews that you actually want to watch.

A bit late here, but want to say that I really enjoy and appreciate your videos and the thorough research behind each of them. I've purchased, based on your reviews, and am
enlightened (and tempted, lol) by them often! VERY well done and far superior to any others
I have seen. Thank you.

Great to hear you finally managed to arrange a copy to review! Looking forward to it.

I got my 8x32 NL Pures in orange about a year ago, and been loving them since. I got a good deal and bought them even though I had just got Hawke Frontier ED X 8x42s less than a year ago to upgrade from my old Frontier EDs. I dig the FoV, the sleek design and ergonomics of the NLs and I find the picture much sharper compared to the ED X. I had difficulties choosing between the 32 and the 42, given all my earlier binos have been 42s, but nowadays find the 32s better for my use. The ED X still perform great, but are mostly used by my girlfriend when birding together.

One minor complaint I have about the NLs is that they really do fog up externally with quick temperature changes. I haven't found it an issue so far and only experienced it a few times.

By the way, I think it was your review of the old original Hawke EDs that I based my first purchase on all those years ago. Thank you for that.

I use the forehead rest on 8x32 and 12x42. There is, for me, no reason to not use the forehead rest. The shape of the NL (both 32 and 42) is now part of my hand. Despite the ocean full of complainers (especially BirdForum), I enjoy the use of these NLs fully, very happy with my purchase.

I own a 10x42 NL Pure and a 8, 5x42 EL. The NL Pure suffers from external fogging on the ocular lenses because they removed the Swarodur coating because that contained harmful substances for the environment…bad idea plus the binocular suffers from glare when sunlight comes in low in front of you and from the sides. 2 things which should not occur in this price range. The EL did not come with a nice fieldbag which they used to do but with a lousy white cotton cheap bag without protection. I called my local dealer to asked if he had forgotten to include the fieldbag in the box but he said it was Swarovski who do not longer provide the fieldbag. So i had to buy a separate Swarovski fieldbag for about 75€… i am a really Swarovski fan but now they are heading in the wrong direction sadly😢

Hello do you know when you will be getting the NL's for review, and letting us see? Thanks

I wish you would test the 12x42! That is the pair that I would buy.

I purchased some GPO 12.5x50s that are arriving this week based on your review. If they dont blow my socks off the way looking through the Vortex UHDs did first time I looked through them, back they go!
I am a hunter btw, “Western hunter” as they say nowadays…

Ultimately I’ll just save a little more and splurge on the NL’s if they arent significantly better than my Steiner predators.

It was hard too hide your excitement during this interview, you were gushing lol 😭😭👍😂

I have hard time to choose between 8x32 or 8x42 for NL Pure, I do use my binoculars in twilight and dust but mostly on daytime, Im wondering does the brightness different is huge on those scenarios for me to take the weight and price penalty. I see your websites recommending x32 tho

Did they tell you to keep the ones going to your office, test them, then give them away to some lucky person who commented on here. 🙂

I have a pair of NL's which are absolutely fantastic, no doubt about it... But in my opinion, it's pure 'vulture' trade on Swarovski's part not to supply this FRP with the binoculars !!!!
SHAME ON THEM for the price they sell it separately... at the price of these binoculars, it's rapacious robbery to ask their customers this money for this little piece of plastic !!! (almost 160€ !!!)
This is mercantilism pushed to its highest point !!

I absolutely love my 10x42 NL Pure's. Also bought the head rest but for me that was a waste of money. I really don't notice any difference at all. If you have steady hands you surely don't need this overpriced piece of plastic on there.
