Nice trunk on that big privet. Still some good roots on it. Bonsai tree comes to mind for you to make.

Try the small ratcheting pruner for small hands. Helps you cut easily without forcing a cut. I like the Ironwood brand. Hope it will help your hands.

Bamboo is best dug out with a spade and maybe you could start pulling the cut rhizome with the weed wrench, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to pull shallow bamboo rhizome, again, if you do it 2x / season, that’s all it requires. But in zone 7b can grow subtropical clumping bamboo…

What kind of sick person would dig out native Palmetto? Also, they grow so slowly that you’d have to neglect your garden for YEARS!
