I’d say, assuming the way Gege writes it so that Maki and Toji are effectively physical equals, I’d say Toji wins for one specific reason, experience. Keep in mind that Maki’s access to full heavenly restrictions is for less than a year while Toji has had it all his life.

so i think part of the reason that the curses scaled themselves in terms of fingers is because they’re all in a similar boat. growing in strength for cursed spirits is functionally the same as sukuna eating another of his fingers.

I have several reasons why I would disagree. Also saying toji is hard carried by maki's feats, as many people are saying here, is incorrect. You are all literally using toji as the metric to measure maki. Maki is implied to be strong like toji it's never stated she surpasses him. Toji put his whole clan in fear of him while maki went to the wire fighting someone weaker than toji in reality. Then you say her fight with sukuna makes her better than toji just because you've seen it. That's the most idiot and scuffed logic ever. But I digress.

Kenjaku should 100% be on A in the tier list, Maki herself emphasized that no special grade hero could fight him head-on, given what happened to Yuki. An open barrier domain is something nobody has shown the ability to handle besides Gojo, and I highly doubt Yuta could win a domain clash with one of the two greatest barrier users in the series

I believe Toji is the better fighter and here's why:

1. In terms of strength, they are equal. If Maki surpassed him, Gege would 100% mention this, as he loves talking about Toji whenever he can.
2. Toji's battle IQ is shown to be much higher. He found it 6 eyes weakness (which Kenjaku never did despite his 1k life) and his overall strategy is brilliant.
3. Toji has the cursed spirit whereas Maki doesn.t

I also disagree a bit about motivation as he clearly had a motivation, to surpass jujutsu sorcery. He wanted to be better than all the sorcerers due to his treatment (explained when he got killed by Gojo). He definitely lost motivation at some point (maybe when his wife died?).

counter point on your mahito point: its clear that mahito diligent know everything about the soul and plus, togs body was capable of overpowering someone's soul, I think mahito could move togs soul around but the body would force it back into shape

What tou mentioned about fingers is so true. I think when Kenjaku compared Jogo to Sukunas fingers he meant purely cursed energy pool and output.

toji's got a special body so no matter how his soul changes the body would keep it's shape no? just like how his body overwritten the grandson's soul information during shibuya.

Toji> Maki due to age and experience and. This is based on makis feats but they have the same passive technique so this is true.
Toji being carried by Maki should not be a downgrade . People being based off of other peoples feats is what people do in powerscaling all the time. A>B. B>C. A>C. While there are nuances to this. It is a passive boost which is why age and experience are a greater benefit to toji.

I don’t think the finger scaling is that bad. The fingers seem to both increase his cursed energy and output but his CE control is still the best(besides Gojo). I say the output changes too since it seems to imply that if his finger level was lower his Domain Refinement would not be able to match up to Gojo’s like it did. It would be weird to think that. I think the main cast goes from 1-9.
But if we think of the scaling as finger bearer strength then I think the main cast right now is at the least 2 and the most 14

Hi, I’m absolutely loving the content and I have 2 questions:
I watched the yuji heavenly restriction video and it led me to think that maybe kenjaku in his obsesion of experimenting and finding the ultimate expresion of cursed energy tried to force a heavenly restriction and bypass it at the same time by giving yuji the “eating cursed objects” ability, what do you think of this? If this is true now the big question is why just before the merge plan.
The second question, do you think dimensional slash would be able to cut Sukuna’s finger?

The finger scalling is obviously flawed. Like Jogo is 8-9 (generously) fingers (most probably CE wise) but could still probably loose to 1 finger Sukuna.

No matter how anyone feels. Toji is stronger than Maki. They have the same heavenly restriction but he is a man and she is a woman. Same powerup, different base stats and physiology; he's stronger than her.

Toji=maki. It’s done. And I don’t mean hidden inventory Toji, or Shibuya Toji. I mean prime Toji=current (prime) maki.

BIQ would go to Toji, but we don’t know by how much. We just know that he’s willing to play a long game, and make a grandiose plan, which maki hasn’t been shown to do. In terms of a battle between the two, they’re roughly equal. Extreme dif either way.
