The DANGER Of The 'Christ Is King' Movement

While I am glad to hear people talking about Jesus Christ and his authority, there are many dangers of the saying "Christ is King." First, the Bible teaches that there are TWO different "Christs". Simply saying the word "Christ" does not define if you are referring to Jesus Christ, or the Antichrist. There is also the teaching of the Catholic church, where Jesus started an earthly kingdom by leaving Peter (and the succession of the popes since then) the "keys of the kingdom of heaven", and an earthly throne and crown in Rome. Catholic doctrine also teaches that the pope is another "Christ". I will be doing a very detailed study on the issue of the Kingship of Jesus Christ, but I just wanted to say a few quick warnings to the brethren in this short video.

When I saw this on social media, I thought it was odd because the meaning of the word Christ. That word means messiah. They are saying “Messiah is King” not “Jesus Christ is King”. Without Jesus’ name in that social media campaign, it’s an empty slogan for true believers.

I work with a guy that is a huge conspiracy theorist. I was talking about the signs of the end of the age. He was excited and was like “oh yeah! Everyone will be a Christian soon!”
Facepalm.
I normally would ignore someone that because they are out of their mind. But out of love, I had to correct him directly. I asked him have you read the Bible? There will be less and less Christians not more. As a matter of fact, I told him that it will get so bad that Christian will be persecuted, and things will get much much worse. The Bible talks about the great falling away. I’m not a scholar, but I know enough to know that this guy is nuts. And has done no research about what is supposed to happen in the end times.he probably gets his information from QAnon.

I've been to a church of England, Catholic, protestant, and now im orthodox.

Which is the best decision i have made! They follow the bible, they give us the bible, they didn't change the bible and kept all the books & traditions.

They have the same teaching from 2000 years ago with the apostles&saints.

It is incredibly bizarre that it’s being said to slight the Jews, and simultaneously (knowingly or unknowingly) to bow to the current Pope or final Pope. The whole thing immediately struck me as something much more nefarious than what it appears to be on the surface. It’s also obvious that Candace is not saved, so a bunch of lost people going around self righteously saying “Christ is King” are definitely not referring to the King of Kings, Christ Jesus.

The Feast of Christ the King is a relatively new addition to the Roman Calendar, instituted in 1925 by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Quas primas, responding to growing secularism and secular nationalism. He believed that taking Christ out of public life would lead to strife and civil discord. The Missal of 1969 moved the Feast of Christ the King from the last Sunday in October to the last Sunday of "Ordinary Time" (itself a new post-Vatican II concept), which happens in the last 2 weeks of November. It also shifted the emphasis from Christ’s reign in the here-and-now to His reign in eternity.
