Most Moms American or not would probably have the same response of thinking a woman is too old for their son if she is 15 plus years older 🤷🏽‍♀️. Why is that so hard to believe or offensive? Can she put herself in his mom’s shoes? She probably would be thinking the same thing.

This show really highlights how Americans don't do their research when dating people from other countries. They just want to go to other countries and completely ignore the culture/traditions and do whatever they want. Jen doesn't realize that it's nothing personal but in their culture the head of the household is expected to have children and continue the family line. Unfortunately, she can't do that because of her age (or atleast that is what Rishis family suspects). I don't understand why Americans date people from foreign countries without researching first.. It's not that hard🤦🏾‍♀️

Jen should not talk about a mom to her son this way. Even when you are angry or disagree. And she should not forget that most moms will think she is too old for her son. And than she forcing the son to take her side in that??

Shes crying bc she knows its true but she keeps fighting it. Its not "age shaming" her, its just the truth, specifically when it comes to their culture and how important having children is to most cultures.

Well let's be realistic, 16 years age difference is not little, especially because he may want have kids and her time is up to birth kids.
So i understand his mother saying that Jen is too old.
It's just reality.
However but if Rishi wants an 16 years older women and doesn't care about having kids with her, then that's his life, his choice.
I am younger than Jen, however i could never see myself being with a guy that's just 5 years younger than me. Let alone 16 years younger!!!

Actually, she's said other kind words to Jen, that she got no other "flaws", she was a beautiful and smart person and that the only reason why she can't give her permission in HER TRADITION (that Rishi respects for today) is their age gap. That's it. I guess it's just hurtful by itself to hear that phrase, but also I guess it's just All the unresolvable problems in these relationships that made Jen so weared... (

I also dated someone 15 yrs older than me and I was 20 at the time, understandably my mom was absolutely not okay with it and everyone around me told me he was way too old for me. Jen is being extremely sensitive but the mom is right if I was a mother I wouldn’t be okay with my young son dating a much older woman
