There are times this professor surprises me with his deft handling of topics. This is not one of those times. In order to understand whites, one has to talk about our laws, morals, gender roles, faith and customs. Not just 'what's your understanding of how you conquered and displaced the indigenous population'.

Watching from Australia, I have never, nor ever heard of anyone referring to themselves as 'white'...outside of a white 'supremacist' handing out flyers in the city once when I was a teenager. Our history is very complex and the darkest parts of it involved the British. Our population however, is around 2/3 non British, even though it is predominately 'white'. Our Indigenous population is less than 4% but is a major part of both our culture and political discourse.

Watching these has helped me let go of so many of my frustrations about our modern culture.

I'm 60 years old and except for some extreme case on the news, I have never heard a white person talk about white pride.

Yet we heard about every other race. Why can't I be proud of my heritage?

I can't because the liberals won't allow it. But I say to hell with them. I'm very proud of my heritage.

Biological/Evolutionary adaptation typically is not a matter of need, but of cumulative generational reproductive advantages. On the darker areas of the northern hemisphere for a very long time skin tone hasn't been related to vitamin D since milk digestion/ingestion became ubiquitous.

So this is a university course that students earn credit for. How are students assessed?

The Atlantic slave trade tapped into the pre-existing African trade in subjugated peoples and prisoners of war. Demand was the result of the large areas of potential agricultural land in the Americas that required 😢 labor to exploit. (The native population did not fill this demand for a number of reasons.) slavery was adopted, but not invented by Europeans.

When will I get my white privilege.. So far I had to pay for all my studies and I do get distinctions. No free motorcar no free house must pay for doctorsfees. I am waiting!!!

The discussion about travel is there Anglosphere and not because of “white.” Mexico, I am more comfortable going to Mexico because everyone wants to speak English with me than I am in France where native English speakers hesitate to use English. I am French, I feel better traveling to Mexico without preparing.

No, no, no. The religious conflict in Ireland is in Northern Ireland which is part of Great Britain. She's talking about the Republic of Ireland which has little to no religious conflict. The majority of people in the Republic are Catholic, with maybe a few Church of Ireland (Irish version of Church of England) people. No problem. The North is not the Republic. Learn and understand.

And it’s interesting that he talks about power because the power that he has is ridiculous over this class because nobody can say or go against anything he says. I bet he would not have this level of conversation with people. Well educated on the same topics as him.
