Thank you for helping someone who does not have schizophrenia to understand a little bit of what it's like.

Having Schizophrenia is more stressful than the stress that caused it in the first place.

Those tiktokers faking schizophrenia for clout are disgusting. They think having schizophrenia makes them cool. Anyone with actual schizophrenia would trade it with them anyday they want.

We need more examples like this. The public needs educating. Thank you for puting this on YouTube.

I got diagnosed with schizophrenia in my 30's. I was in and out of the psych ward for years. One of the times they gave me schizoaffective instead.

I'm doing so much better now. I go around town and talk to other homeless people about their thoughts and feelings and provide support. I have a master's in counseling from before diagnosis and I still have my skills. That is how I make meaning and purpose in my life. Life of service definitely is how you make the suffering worth surviving.

A really gifted artist and
an intelligent, courageous person. And yes, it is certainly just a gradual transition from a 'normal' to an 'atypically' working brain.

I got diagnosed with schizophrenia 19 years ago as a teenage. Spent my whole life fighting this deadly disorder. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Schizophrenia often comes on in early adulthood when we are trying to figure out who we are and what we want to do in life. I am a recovered schizophrenic who was diagnosed back in 1990/1991 and haven’t been on any meds since 1992/1993. I spent 4 weeks in a psych ward, underwent ECT, and had the whole gamut of very strong intrusive negative thoughts and voices and an intense hallucination…a snake-like creature with a lion-like head came out of a portal and entered my room through a cloud. I had no knowledge of Gnosticism at the time, but they refer to this entity as Yaldabaoth among other names. I truly believe schizophrenia is a shamanic/spiritual experience in which some surpass and others do not. Today, having overcome the illness, I live a successful and fruitful life.

He really hit the nail on the head my son has schizophrenia and has reactions to things that are not there. What I really love is that he can use his words and express what he is going through with his art. My son does not verbalize what he is experiencing this is great.

i was diagnosed with schizophrenia about 10 years ago, i count myself lucky that ive been able to turn it into a positive thing, i take comfort in the pressence of my hallucination, they usually say things to try a cheer me up but it can be very chaotic and unpredictable at times,
for me the worst part of it is how people treat me, im often looked down on and seen as less than human despite being extremely intelligent and thoughtful

I give so many kudos to people that suffer from this or any other of the myriad of psychological conditions and have the TREMENDOUS courage to openly discuss it. You are helping so many more people than you'll ever know. I first starting dealing with mental illness in my teens back in the early 80s, and I felt so confused, ashamed and defective that I didn't tell anyone except a counselor for over two decades. It never occurred to me until after a particularly severe episode a few years ago that opening up to people could not only broaden your network of support - but just the relief of not having to keep such a deep, dark secret buried inside was in itself rather cathartic in helping shed much of the shame I didn't need to carry for so many years. So Thank You Christopher for an enlightening discussion about your experiences, and also for sharing some seriously kick-azz art. Peace to you.

I'm writing a horror story about schizophrenia, so I started researching to give the best representation of it. This is giving me a good amount of information and making sure I don't portray it like an idiot

I'm studying Schizophrenia and Dementia as i type. There's so much to learn on mental health and so much efforts to be made in different parts of the world to provide proper care. The points of view of people affected are valuable.

The animations are so impressive, being able to show how it actually feels to have schizophrenia, it’s so interesting

I used to take over the counter sleeping meds to fall asleep. There would be this 20 minute window where I would still be wake and would hear random weird stuff blurted out or said... like... dreaming while being awake... I would imagine it being like that times a 1000. How overwhelming
