Hi Robert, I use this a lot. I also copy the fanout of the DDR3 and use Paste special  (E-A shortcut then select keep netnames) this way you do not need to update the PCB from the schematics. only if you keep the netlabes the same.. but in most cases it is. did you ever try to make snippets of this?

Cool use this a lot! no need to make new layouts. it also handy to copy fanout of Memroy since you keep the netnames the same you do not have to dus this again. you could use paste special (E-A shortcut then choose keep netname) this way designator and netlabels will be added also. if the are the same you do not need to update the pcb from schematics. working on how to do this with snippets though..

Hello Robert. Can you explain how to copy room formats in a situation when you have hierarchical design? I mean something like 5 banks, where each of them contains 5 channels. I can copy formats from channel to channel, but copying bank format does not work.

Also, is it possible to move bank room and maintain channel position inside this bank room? When I simply drag a bank room all channel rooms stay where they were.

In my case it doesn't work. When I try to paste the components all I paste is a table with the designators, comments and footprint. What am I doing wrong?

If i've for example got 8 child sheets in a hierarchical design, and i update the PCB document, it generates 8 rooms with identical sets of components. This is good - but i have a problem i'm wondering if you know the solution to. If i want to design the components in a specific way in one room, can i then use that one design and have the other 7 rooms copy it?

Hello Robert, I have two different boards, which both consists of one schematic page being exactly the same. Different Reference Designators though, due to one design having more components than the other. First board is placed and routed. Am I able to copy the placement of the entire schematic page of the first board to the second? Pretty much a "Copy Room Formats" between two boards?
