I am out of town for two weeks out of four. Been playing stand up bass since 1966. a travel Bass might be a fun thing and help me learn abt electric basses.

Good review; I had this small amp before someone stole it. It was good for practice. I noticed you had the volume at maximum during the video while changing the gain and other knobs.
I never maxed out the volume, maybe using active basses I did not need it cranked up. Now I have a passive bass and will get another Blackstar fly 3 and check it out.

This is a really cool small amp. Might get it for practice and travel. Thanks for the review.

I don't rate it highly in terms of audio capabilities, although it is quite convenient and small in size that can be easily carried anywhere.

I have a small 18 inch bass drum on my drum set, and Im looking to mic it up just to give me a little more oomph in the bottom end. How do you think this Blackstar would perform with a mic .

Okay so I already have a Laney R500-115 which is freaking HUGE. I just need a small amp to carry around for practicing at home and this amp seems perfect for this job. Would love to get your input on this tho

Can you do a review on a Laney Mini Bass NeXus? I think it might be comparable to this amp.

Would this amp work for guitar as well?

Don't waist your money! I had one of these with the extension cab a couple of years ago, the line-out sounded fine and useable for recording demos and stuff but that is all. The extension cab is a waist of time, it adds nothing to the volume or headroom. My advise is to save up and get a real bass amp, not this toy one.
