the fact the motor cover was cracked right after unboxing shows how cheap the plastic is on most fans nowadays.

today i had an old stand fan that was given to me for free and one fall was enough to crack the motor cover along with one of the fan blades.

i had so many of these stand fans/desk fans break either because of the blades cracking or the bottom stand bending because of the alluminum they used. rather stupid as i can't have one stand fan last for over one summer
