In this video we learn the ECG changes in Heart blocks, to be more specific the atrioventricular blocks (AV blocks). To understand heart blocks, we need a brief understanding of conducting system of heart and normal ECG.
Conducting system of heart (Concepts)
SA node is pacemaker
AV nodal delay
Normal EKG/ECG (Concepts)
AV blocks
There are three grades or degrees of AV blocks
1st Degree block is not a block but a delay in conduction at AV node
2nd Degree AV block
There are 2 subtypes
Mobitz type 1 (Wenckebach phenomenon)
Mobitz type 2
3rd degree heart block
